Hello everyone! In preparation for our next Event coming to the island very soon, we wanted to chat today about our plans to expand and improve the event format. Since Season 5 released, we’ve been doing events more frequently, testing out our new format to see what works and what doesn’t. This has allowed us to create a vision for bigger, better, and longer events going forwards. Here’s what to expect! Longer Events & Event Passes The first and biggest change is that we want our events to be longer, lasting 4 weeks each time. This is primarily to allow each to now feature an Event Pass, identical to how the battlepass works, but shorter, cheaper, and much easier to finish. Battle Box Arena New map: Cherry Blossom A new Battle Box map for Arena, focused on sneaky plays with invisibility, mobility and teleportation. Pay attention to where players are, especially when at the sides as it can be hard to see who’s at the capture point! The sides of the map can be used for flanks helping save important items for later in the battle. Cherry Blossom will be swapping with Heater which will return to the map pool in the near future. Weapon Skins Following the 3 new axe skins released in the previous patch, one more that got held back is coming out today. You can obtain the Mythic Mechanical Axe from the rotating weapon forge or mythic weapon crates. This skin also brings with it a new chroma set, Mech Green. Changes and bug fixes Added custom death messages that are used when a player with levitation gets cleansed and dies from the fall. Cleansing orbs now pass through cobwebs without being slowed down. Check out the launch article for more info! Weapon Skins Axe Weapon Skins have arrived on the Island! There are currently three to collect, spread out between the two forges. The Limited Weapon Forge has rotated, making its previous three cosmetics no longer obtainable other than via trading.
